“I take the opportunity to express things the way I see or feel them”
Art does not know time, nor space, nor speech. I utilize art to express feelings and
thoughts and to give a part of myself. Experimenting with various materials and styles
during several years of private studies led me the way to my passion - abstract art
and large-size color-field painting. This way I can totally express my full power as an
artist.
I see this work process as some kind of dance of the soul. There is an impulse coming from inside which lets me start painting. Some works evolve based on precise planning and well elaborated designs, others just by coincidence and in that moment, everything that was planned is not important any more. I devote myself to the flow of feelings and decide that anything is possible. This generates a force which makes my heart sing. Then everything flows and I can capture it in the painting.
Motifs are not important to me because only the impulse, the obsession, to paint enforces me to do this. The painting is finished when I see and feel that nothing is missing. As soon as the painting fulfills my expectation I don’t modify it any further. At this point I feel great thankfulness and endless gratitude for the accomplished art.
I’m inspired by a lot of things: good music, a poem, various situations in life, my own thoughts but also by other artists. Most often, however, I’m inspired by nature because I feel very close to nature. The game between order and chaos, the colors, the beauty and perfection of everything is what I consider as a sensation. The fascination of change by day and night, by the seasons as well as rain and sunshine inspired the idea that everything is in motion, really everything! Like a river, which never has the same waves. Simply the immense beauty of being. Each painting has therefore its own order and moves the beholder individually.
